Aztelekom has been awarded the “Speedtest Award for Fastest Fixed Network” by Ookla, the global company specializing in broadband and mobile network analytics.
This award is being presented for the first time in the country’s history to a fixed network internet provider.
The report published on Ookla®’s official website states that Aztelekom’s achievement was determined based on the results of 4,389,339 speed tests conducted by 306,885 subscribers across the entire country using various applications and devices during the third and fourth quarters of 2024.
According to the test results, while the highest nationwide download speed (Top Download Speed) was recorded at 181.30 Mbit/s, this figure reached 408.18 Mbit/s among Aztelekom subscribers.
It should be noted that Aztelekom LLC is one of the operators of the “Online Azerbaijan” project. During the implementation of the project, the number of households with access to broadband internet increased 13 times, rising from 230,000 to 2.97 million across the country.
Since the start of the project in 2021, the positive trend in broadband internet speed nationwide has continued, growing from 17.2 Mbit/s to 66 Mbit/s in 2024, marking a fourfold increase over the project period.
