On March 3, at the world’s most prestigious mobile technology exhibition, the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Aztelekom LLC was presented with the “Best Practice of Home Broadband Development Award.”
This prestigious award was granted by IDATE, a renowned company with 45 years of international experience in digital transformation.
The award ceremony took place during a meeting with the Aztelekom delegation at the Green All-optical Network Forum 2025, held in Barcelona, Spain.
The award was given to Aztelekom LLC for setting an industry benchmark by increasing household broadband internet services from 100 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s and successfully commercializing the process. It also recognized Aztelekom’s large-scale deployment of 10G PON technology, laying a strong foundation for a future transition to 50G PON, improving customer experience, and introducing innovative broadband packages to guide service development in local markets.
It should be noted that this annual award is presented to a select group of companies distinguished for their efforts in advancing household broadband connectivity and improving user experience.
This year, along with Aztelekom, the award was also given to Algeria Telecom (Algeria), ZEOP (France), China Telecom (China), and Hong Kong Telecom (China).
For reference, this marks the first time that the award has been presented to a company in Azerbaijan, with Aztelekom as the recipient.
