During the event, it was noted that, according to the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on December 2, 2006, the professional holiday of communications and ICT workers is celebrated annually, and employees who have made significant contributions to the development of the sector are awarded honorary titles and distinctions.
This year, on the occasion of the 144th anniversary of the establishment of telephone communication, long-serving employees in this field were honored by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. In total, 16 employees received the honorary title of “Master of Communications”, while 32 employees were awarded Certificates of Honor.
The event also highlighted the work carried out by “Aztelekom” LLC in recent years to modernize the country's telecommunications infrastructure. “The company continues to accelerate its transition from traditional fixed-line services to modern broadband technologies. By introducing next-generation equipment, Aztelekom ensures that the telecommunications network evolves in line with global standards. These efforts significantly expand the coverage and availability of high-speed communication services across the country.”
