A meeting of the Operators Council of the Regional Communications Union was held

The 41st meeting of the Regional Communications Union (RCU) was held with the participation of the heads of communication operators operating in the wider member states and experts working in the field of information security.

Our country was represented by Samir Mammadov, Acting General Director of Aztelekom LLC, Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, at the meeting, which was held online due to the current pandemic.

The meeting discussed the areas of activity of operators in the implementation of digital economy programs in member states during the pandemic, the tasks and the main priorities for their solution.

At the same time, they discussed ways to jointly combat fraud in the field of communications, existing legislation on criminal prosecution of fraudsters in telecommunications networks, as well as relevant methodologies for calculating the loss of income from their activities and other issues.

The meeting assessed the results of last year and exchanged views on the place, time and agenda of the 42nd meeting of the Council of Telecommunications and Infocommunication Operators of the Regional Communications Union.
